We don’t require anyone to book an appointment to look around one of the Homes, you are more than welcome to turn up and one of our experienced staff will show you around and answer any questions you might have.
Whenever possible, the Crownwood Healthcare Homes endeavours to continue to care for its residents, even if their needs increase substantially. We recognise that for our residents Home is “Home” and that they have a confidence that they will continue to be well looked after even if they need more help in the future. The Home is able to provide a full range of care from a supportive supervision role to end of life care to ensure that the needs of our residents are met throughout their stay with us.
Prior to admission to one of our Homes an in-depth pre admission assessment is completed to ensure that the needs of the potential resident can be met. Depending on the assessed needs a decision will be made with the resident/their family as to whether it is a suitable environment and whether it is felt that the home can meet the needs that the client has within our environment. Should one of our residents develop dementia, every effort would be made to continue to care for the person at that Crownwood Home. It would be a last resort that alternative placement would be sought and only if The Home felt that they were unable to now meet the current needs of the individual and these needs could be better met in another specialist environment.
The issue of the cost of care is always high on anyone’s agenda when looking for a suitable home. Some residents simply wish to enjoy the benefits of community living whilst others are more focussed on care and nursing support. We appreciate the importance of evaluating the true cost of care and we encourage all residents and their families to seek appropriate support and advice.
No there are no specific visiting times at any of our Homes, we do ask that if you plan on visiting at night you ring before hand so our staff are aware, the Homes are often busy in the morning with assisting residents with their personal care so if you would like to ensure your relative/friend is ready for your visit them please feel free to get in touch with the Home who will ensure this happens.
